Finally, I made the jump to Etsy and I'm glad to say it is SO much more easier and functional compared to the previous platforms I would use. I love free-style art; loose, flowy and just the right bit of wild to evoke feelings of reckless abandon and playfulness. Abstract art and botanicals which are less structured are a complete vibe in themselves right now. Earthy hues like rust, dusty pinks, clay colors, mustards, terracotta and navy go incredibly well together and lend to a homey, cozy feel. You can print all the four free art illustrations to make a mini wall gallery or you can just print one. It  is completely up to you how you'd like to freshen up your space. Using a contrasting color like navy, emerald or deep teal on the backdrop wall can really make these prints pop. Alternatively, if you'd like to go for a more cohesive feel, paint the wall a beautiful terracotta or a buttery cream tone if you have a smaller space and a dark wall color can make it look tighter. Add a pot or planter of fresh sublime greens to brighten up the whole area and make it come alive; throw in some of your favorite Boho accessories and you'll get a complete space makeover!

DELICIOUS CHICKEN ALFREDO & CREAMY SPINACH LASAGNA

Welcome back my loves,

Today is a treat, and it will be a well-earned one at that because this recipe is going to take a lot of grit in the kitchen but it is going to be so, SO worth it in the end. In your best fantasies, can you envision a comforting, cheesy, herb-y lasagna layered with lovely succulent chicken, spinach and marinara sauce with stretchy mozzarella goodness in every bite? This beautifully layered lasagna is just that, there are six basic layers in total that you need to keep repeating; so it will take a bit of time. You can cut down a lot of the prep time by simply preparing and storing some of the ingredients before-hand or batch-cooking them if you want to make this more frequently that just when trying to be the best party hostess or host; although, with the lockdown everywhere and a global pandemic scorning us, I'm not sure if that's currently possible,

   Anyhow, that just means you will have bigger portions for yourselves. :D Now, be warned, this is not a classic lasagna dish; so if that's what you're searching for, you're not going to find it here. Nay, this is a more non-traditional, creative but nevertheless scrumptious approach. Take a look yourself!

Hope you're all making the most of Ramadan. My last post was an (unexpected) giant success. Never in a million years would I guess that it would receive so much love, Alhumdulillah. I've been waiting immensely to be able to publish this book as soon as I can because I really wanted everyone to be equipped with this invaluable and handy little book of Quranic Du'as at the start of Ramadan. Well, the past week, I've been in an uphill battle both mentally and physically being sick and exhausted all at once while also trying to make the most of Ramadan, and what do you know? Half the month of fasting has already gone by! Another reason this got delayed is because I kept proofreading numerous times to make sure that everything was right before it was put out there for all of you to read, download and benefit from.

So while we still can, let's treasure the rest of this sacred month and share any beneficial knowledge we come across with our Muslim brothers and sisters.

      I'm pretty sure most people are either quarantined or self-isolating right now while a looming uncertainty awaits all of us. I kept coming across numerous metal wellness and self-care posts on instagram and I was wondering how I could support you all guys to ease you all through these tough times. And it occurred to me, that I'd rather not write some big mighty words that may not be applicable to what everyone is going through. I think we could all just use a simple reminder whenever we feel like our mind comes crashing down.

For those of you on the front-line and essential care workers who feel under-valued and overlooked; hang in there. 

       For those of you who keep posting on their socials about how much they've accomplished today; hang in there. It's great that you are being productive despite it being challenging but please, also hold space for those who can't make it through. For those of us having healthy habits in this time, let's find a way to empower and inspire others without shaming those who are not able to find the strength who cannot find that energy. Sometimes even just getting out of bed and being able to pray feels like the greatest accomplishment and we all need to help each other along regardless of where we are at in this journey.

Welcome back lovelies! I feel like I keep saying this each year, but oh my, Ramadan just sped by and we are on he verge of another beautiful day of Eid ul Fitr. Since I'm in the process of releasing a gigantic watercolor collection on my blog's digital graphics shop, I'm making lots of small watercolor presents on the side for you all to enjoy in the meantime (just like this).

This hand=painted bright, summery floral wreath pays ode to the blazing hot summer we had this year for Ramadan as well as many other countries all close to the equator who had a daily battle against the searing sun. It is now time to bring the fun and games out and get your family all excited for a beautiful, generous feast and lots of prayers thanking Allaah for making us amongst those  who were able to live through another amazing Ramadan. It is time to give Zakat-Ul-Fitr and welcome people with loving smiles. It is time to thank Allaah for giving us all the opportunity to be grateful for what we have whether those are new dresses, food on the table or a roof over our head and to pray for those not as fortunate as us to be granted the same. Don't let the end of Ramadan be the end of your gratitude towards Him. 
   Those on whom Allaah has mercy are those who are merciful towards His creation. So print out these pretty, happy cards and tuck them in along with a thoughtful gift to your loved ones or you could temporarily put them in your favorite picture frame ready to greet guests in the entryway. FREE ISLAMIC WALL ART PRINTS : DU'AS FOR DEPRESSION AND HARDSHIPS

Hey there lovelies! As we are progressing into the last blessed and precious ten days of Ramadan, I wanted to share something that I'm sure will help each one of my Muslim brothers and sisters out there of every age group. Each one of us is tested with difficulties and sorrow in some form or the other and this elevates our position in the eyes of Allaah as long as we remain patient and steadfast in His trust while working towards a solution. Remember, the virtue of patience never means that you rely on Allaah and be stagnant. Allaah said to trust Him and also tie your camel :D So what can you do in the meanwhile as you are struggling, in the spiritual sense?

Well one of the best things you can do is memorize supplications from the Quran and Hadith specially meant to ward off worries and difficulties and keep your heart at rest, because if the heart is uneasy, you won't be able to work towards figuring out solutions as your mind feels clouded with all the negativity you are going through. 

This goes for mothers, children, any human in an abusive or oppressed situation, those bearing the loss of loved ones, those under an unjust ruler, those who have been slandered, those who are childless, those suffering mental trauma, those battling poverty; I see each one of you and I pray each one of you comes out from this dark place closer to Allaah than before and stronger than ever!

All of these dua's are for similar circumstances so you can read any or all three of them. The best action would be to memorize them and even teach it to others; imagine the immense reward you will receive, InshaAllaah! Besides that, if you've memorized them, they're easier to recall on the go wherever you are to immediately remind yourself that Allaah is very close to you and you are never alone in your sorrow. 

     Make sure you hang them up in a place where you're sure to come across the regularly, in the entry way perhaps or over your work desk or maybe by your beside. Since the whole family comes together for Iftar this time of the year, you can even have the Du'a in your dining area so everyone can read it right before the Maghrib Adhaan is called out since this a time when a fasting person's supplications are accepted. Also, don't limit yourself please. If you're unable to print them out, you can still save them on your phone or even as your wallpaper so that you read them frequently Remember, du'as need to be consistent and sincere :) Don't let anything set you back from taking little moments in your day to bring yourself closer to God. You are both creating time for self-care through this as well as pleasing your Creator.
